In 2022 NTT DATA merged its service portfolio with affiliate NTT Ltd.'s international business outside of Japan, creating an IT powerhouse with $30 billion in revenue and a team of 190,000 professionals serving clients in more than 80 countries. The company believes the move will enhance its digital consulting, and unified communication capabilities in delivering outsourced digital workplace services.
"We recognised early on that strategic collaboration is the key element driving the success of the modern workplace," said Kaz Nishihata, Senior Executive Vice President & Representative Director at NTT DATA. "Combining NTT DATA's and NTT Ltd.'s strengths in one organisation allows us to invest more in the people, products and services to offer clients a stronger collaboration service."
NTT DATA has made investments in digital workplace services to elevate employee experience and productivity during a time when work is more dynamic and digital than ever before. The company has implemented strategies to empower employees to collaborate across devices, provide convenient on-demand support across channels, deliver consumer-like experience with self-service options, and enable the flexibility to use any device, anywhere, anytime.
NTT DATA has enhanced workplace collaboration by delivering new offerings such as NTT's Cloud Voice, which fills the gaps from Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex for voice calls, and Operator Connect by NTT, which provides integrated calling and audio-conferencing using NTT's voice backbone.
"Tapping the power of AI, machine learning, data and analytics, we can give organizations the edge they need to empower employees, create better workplace experiences, and drive efficiencies through their operations," said Tanvir Khan, Chief Digital Officer at NTT DATA Services.
