Announcing Our first Women in Data Hire

Following our announcement last summer that we are partnering with Women in Data, we are pleased to confirm that we have made our first hire through this network.

We have partnered with Women in Data because we share their beliefs in the importance of gender parity and diversity in the data industry. NTT DATA in the UK are committed to achieving 30% representation of women at all levels of our organisation, as part of the 30% Club Campaign. We strive to champion the voices of women across our organisation. Through our partnership with WiD, we hope to contribute to its initiative to increase women’s profiles in our industry, hire new talent and make a difference in our communities.

Having just also recruited a new head of DE&I, you can expect that diversity at NTT DATA is going to be a major focus moving forward. Having only recently started advertising our open job roles on the Women in Data website, we are pleased to announce Isabella Giulia Grandi has just joined us as Associate Director in Data Analytics. She is highly experienced and has worked in the field of Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Strategy for nearly 15 years, mainly focused in Financial Services.

Being a mother, Isabella understands the challenges of combining and balancing professional work with private life. Especially in the early years of childhood, when a mother needs to learn how to be a mother for the first time. As a Mentor, Isabella has been supported by initiatives of Women in Technology throughout her career. She believes that organisations need to change to better retain women in the workplace and ensure women continue to develop in their professions at every stage of their careers.

Isabella explains: “I found the opportunity to join NTT DATA UK&I on the Women in Data website, and this is one of the main reasons that I decided to apply for this interesting role. The fact that the company is partnering with Women in Data has surely played a major part in gaining my interest because I want to work for a company that shares a belief in the importance of gender parity and diversity in the IT industry. Also, I have been curious about what it is like culturally to work for a Japanese IT service and consulting firm, which is something I have not experienced before now. Another key factor of why I joined NTT DATA is that I grew to appreciate during the interviews that the company bases its culture on clients first, foresight, and teamwork. Which are all values that I strongly share and adhere to myself.”

Welcome aboard Isabella!
