As design leaders we are now told that we have to deliver more meaningful, connected, and personalised experiences in everything that we do. There are so many options, customer journeys and never-ending technology advances that anticipating the real opportunities and making the right choices is our biggest challenge. Today we want to help you Navigate through this noise and ultimately make the right choices to maximise your resources.

When times get tough and budgets are tight, we are forced to focus on the business objectives that actually matter. Look at this as a brilliant opportunity to thrive. Our investment decisions can be razor sharp and we are forced to innovate to get more out of less. We look closer at our customer behaviours but also our own. And we focus much more on what talent we need in our organisations.

Optimising the present – focusing on budget, time, and talent – will help you maximise your future potential. Through Customer Experience and Design, we gather and construct the building blocks that enable you to thrive despite today’s challenging circumstances.

As a special guest of NTT DATA, join us to discuss the key pieces of your present that will inspire your success story of the future.

Agenda + Speakers

14:00-14:30 Arrival and welcome

Introductions and networking with other guests (top leaders in some of London’s most reputed companies).

14:30-15:15 Block 1 – Optimising Budget

Entrepreneur Rik Vera, renowned for his customer-centric approach and data-driven insights, will delve into navigating complex changes and capitalising on future opportunities that may not be so obvious.

With a wealth of experience collaborating with some of the world’s leading brands, he will offer insight into how emerging technologies and a focus on customer-centricity are pivotal for securing long term success.

Pabel Martin, Head of Productivity and Enablement at Sprinklr, will be sharing their story on how they turned a ‘boring’ CX problem (a call centre) into a revenue-generating area of the business. Making tough (but necessary) decisions and cutting costs while offering a premium customer experience.

15:20-15:40 Block 2 – Optimising Time

Time is our most precious resource, the one we seem to be ready to trade anything for. AI and other technologies are increasing the pace of our activities. How can design and development teams ensure quality when faced with increasing speed?

Emanuela Cozzi (Tangity Italy) will talk about the concept of “slow design” and how time in key design phases can lead to more sustainable product lifecycles.

15:45-16:15 Discussion panel – Optimising Talent

A mix of experts in several fields and industries bringing their views on the new generation of customers, employees, and transformation fatigue. Where should we invest? What angles are we missing?

16:15-16:45 Wrapping up – We don't need a lot to make the future bright. Invest in what's relevant

Our final speaker, Steve Harpum, will share his inspirational story and explain how he tackled all three challenges (budget, time, and talent) through tough times in the Middle East (RAF) and England (NHS), when keeping people alive with little resources was the only option available.

16:45-17:30 Drinks, food & network!

Meet other inspiring leaders while enjoying a glass of wine and canapes.

About the location

The Design Museum, located in an iconic '60s Grade II*-listed building, was responsible for bringing a decaying building – the former Commonwealth Institute – to a thriving space in 2016. This museum is a tribute to great design and resilience, and its ongoing exhibitions keep inspiring guests on their creative journeys.

This event is hosted by Tangity and  NTT DATA’s Customer Experience team.
