NTT DATA Group announced it has been awarded second place among the best IT service providers in Europe as part of the IT Sourcing Study Europe 2020/21 report by Whitelane Research. The report polled customers of 30 IT and cloud providers, with NTT DATA Group recording 81 per cent customer satisfaction in its first participation of the report.
The study, which independently polled over 1,700 IT sourcing relationships, found that 83 per cent of respondents described their general satisfaction with NTT DATA Group as "very satisfied" or "satisfied", which represented the highest figure in the entire field of participants. The average customer satisfaction rating for all IT and cloud providers was 72 per cent.
"NTT DATA Group caused a real surprise in this year's study by coming in second place right away with the highest satisfaction scores as a newcomer to the competition," comments Jef Loos, Head of Sourcing at Whitelane Research. "This achievement is all the more significant given that the market as a whole also saw an increase from an average of 70 per cent to 72 per cent satisfaction. The survey made it clear that the NTT DATA Group is a top address among IT providers also in Europe."
Further to the overall satisfaction ratings, NTT DATA Group ranked as the best IT and cloud services provider in the assessment for several individual industries. NTT DATA achieved three first-place rankings in the manufacturing industry (87 per cent general satisfaction), the public sector (82 per cent) and the telecommunications industry (80 per cent). Following its first place ranking in Whitelane Research's 'IT Sourcing Germany 2020', NTT DATA Group has thus also established itself as an IT champion and reliable partner for multinational companies at a European level.
NTT DATA Group’s overall evaluation resulted from consistently high satisfaction scores in the individual categories throughout the survey. Categories that NTT DATA Group was assessed on included:
- Account management: 82 per cent (average of all IT service providers: 74 per cent)
- Business understanding: 80 per cent (average: 72 per cent)
