NTT DATA, a digital business and IT services leader, today announced Everest Group has named the company as a Leader in its Digital Workplace Services Provider PEAK Matrix® Assessment report, for the third straight year. Everest Group rated NTT DATA well above average in each of the report’s eight Market Impact and Vision & Capability segments, and also awarded NTT DATA the firm’s highest rating in Vision and Strategy.
The pandemic has served as a catalyst for enterprises to recalibrate their perceptions of the workplace, with 75% reviewing their current models to implement more flexible options, according to the report. NTT DATA was chosen as a Leader possessing a comprehensive global business, a highly balanced portfolio and a progressive strategy for helping clients future-proof their environments.
“To build a sustainable workplace ecosystem, a conscious effort is needed to move away from stopgap solutions and enhance the focus on critical components of the digital workplace that have been eclipsed by business continuity challenges in the last two years, such as governance, employee experience management, employee burnout, virtual culture and talent building, data privacy, user enablement, and compliance,” said Udit Singh, practice director, Everest Group. “NTT DATA’s emphasis on user-experience, credible automation storyline underpinned by its Nucleus offering, robust partner ecosystem, and relevant investments, have contributed to its position as a Leader in Everest Group’s Digital Workplace Services PEAK Matrix® Assessment 2022. Clients have highlighted its focus on user experience, process improvement, and client management as key differentiators.”
“NTT DATA’s vision for workplace services is to move beyond IT services and transform the client’s experience into a holistic business service support engagement,” said Kaz Nishihata, Senior Executive Vice President & Representative Director at NTT DATA. “Our focus on convenience, collaboration and strong embedded security is enabling customers to position themselves positively to take advantage of a future defined by hybrid work.”
Everest Group acknowledged that NTT DATA’s digital workplace services have gained significant market traction – particularly in North America. It cited the company’s investments in automation and its holistic set of offerings, which include advanced virtual assistants, hybrid field services and workplace mobile apps to augment next-generation capabilities in the digital workplace.
“Today’s enterprises face the unenviable challenge of providing a highly focused user experience while at the same time achieving the digital efficiencies and cost optimisation that business demands,” said Eric Clark, Chief Digital and Strategy Officer, NTT DATA Services. “This recognition by Everest Group shows that NTT DATA’s skill sets, technology platforms, track record for innovation, and commitment to user responsiveness is positioning our clients to compete and win in fast-changing markets.”
The report also highlighted the results of a case study in which NTT DATA used robotic process automation (RPA) technologies to help a media entertainment company speed up customer ticket resolution and improve overall employee experience. The project reduced the average task completion time from 9 minutes to 1.5 minutes and mean time to recovery by 80%.
The Digital Workplace Services Provider PEAK Matrix® Assessment 2022 evaluated 26 leading vendors. It is based on Everest Group’s annual RFI process for Q2 and Q3 2021, which includes interactions with leading digital workplace service providers, client reference checks, and an in-depth analysis of the digital workplace services market.
