London, 12th August 2024 – NTT DATA UK&I has announced that it has signed a new deal to be the strategic supplier of Quality Engineering (QE) services for easyJet, as the airline group looks to achieve ambitious growth targets through increased productivity across the organisation. To achieve these targets, NTT DATA will be supporting easyJet with a Quality Engineering strategy to increase the airline's productivity and drive enhanced user experiences.
easyJet flies millions of customers across Europe each year. To streamline processes and improve its services, easyJet required a dedicated QE Partner to drive innovation through increasing Test Automation, simplified environments and better Quality practices – all with the aim to enable faster releases and better cost efficiency. It has appointed NTT DATA to work closely with the easyJet team and drive innovation within Quality Engineering.
As part of this partnership, NTT DATA is leveraging its global network of Quality Assurance specialists to support easyJet in adopting the new strategy, which includes more than 55 experts in its Quality Engineering Centre of Excellence in the UK. In doing so, NTT DATA will provide both advisory services and a technology roadmap in the Quality Engineering space to enable efficient in-built quality checks across the full engineering lifecycle.
Richard Nettleship, VP Operations & Delivery for Industry at NTT DATA UK&I, commented: “We are proud to be delivering the Quality Engineering services for easyJet and this new deal demonstrates the strength of the relationship that we have built over the past year. By working collaboratively with easyJet, we will drive value and innovation, increase efficiency, and help simplify their current ecosystem through standardisation and alignment across ways of working, processes, and technologies.”
Simon Prior, Head of Quality Engineering at easyJet, commented: “Modernising our Quality Engineering practices is a top priority for our organisation so we needed to find a strategic partner to drive enhancements and efficiencies through innovation, automation, and a modern testing approach. We also wanted to make sure that we found a partner that was a cultural fit for our organisation. Quality Engineering is a critical part of our business and NTT DATA emerged as the obvious choice to be our preferred supplier given the skills and experience it has in this area. We are pleased to have built a trusted strategic partnership with them over the past year and we look forward to continuing our work together over the next three years.”
