NTT DATA UK&I, a leading global IT services provider, has today announced that it has appointed Ciaran McGuinness as Client Partner to lead growth in the Irish technology sector. With ambitious goals to further establish NTT DATA’s presence in Ireland, McGuinness will be focused on bringing key innovations in cloud, networks, automation, data and intelligence, customer experience, security and more, while also building out the team on the ground.
Ireland is a thriving technology scene, and as such, the Irish market is important to NTT DATA UK&I. Having worked with Irish businesses for a number of years, including eir, Vodafone, Flutter and Three, the global provider is now looking to increase its market penetration in the fast-growing technology sector. McGuinness will lead these efforts, bringing the latest innovations to Irish clients.
Prior to joining NTT DATA UK&I, McGuinness worked in technology consulting, digital product & service design, digital advertising, and technology non-profit. Across these roles, he has worked with clients including Centrica, Bank of Ireland, Discover, The FA, Aston Martin F1, Caterpillar, and Electrolux to name a few. In his most recent role at Cognizant, he was focused on business development across a broad range of industries, including media, sports, technology, utilities, energy, and manufacturing, working with well-known brands in the UK and globally. McGuinness has a customer experience focused background, enabling him to bring a unique perspective of looking at technology with a customer first viewpoint.
Having previously run an inner city not-for-profit focused on youth STEM education, McGuinness is also looking to bring this experience to NTT DATA UK&I and is seeking opportunities to reengage with Irish charities that are bridging the skills gap and encouraging young and diverse individuals into the tech sector.
Ciaran McGuinness, Client Partner, said: “Right now is an exciting time in the company’s journey, and I’m pleased to have the opportunity to build something great in the Irish market with the backing of a global powerhouse. I am impressed with the scale, values, ethos and support that NTT DATA UK&I offers to both employees and clients. Having experienced some of the innovative technologies we’re leading the way with such as smart cities, blockchain, 5G networks and satellite tech, I’m excited to start bringing these, and more to Irish clients.”
Roei Haberman, Chief Revenue Officer at NTT DATA UK&I added: "Ireland is an important market for NTT DATA UK&I so we are pleased to have Ciaran onboard, bringing his deep understanding of customer experience and passion for finding solutions which blend people and technology.
