New senior hires at NTT DATA UK

As part of the investment we are making to improve the profitability, size and scalability of our business, there have been a number of new senior hires at NTT DATA UK.

John Carney has joined NTT DATA UK as our Sales Transformation Lead and will be implementing a positive sales leadership culture as we drive growth and new business in the markets of our choice. This will include building upon our proven selling expertise, whilst ensuring that we optimise our sales processes and tools to maximise our ability to grow as a company.

Mark Masterson has joined as Head of New Ventures, with a focus on building our ability to secure revenue from startups and products. Mark joins NTT DATA from Google, where he helped customers manage digital transformations, become ‘data driven’ advertisers, and grow startup ecosystems around the world. Mark has been a startup CTO, mentor and board advisor, and has held a series of senior global management and strategy roles at CSC (now DXC), Deutsche Bank, Zurich Financial Services and with Barclays Bank; Mark has worked in an advisory capacity to both UK Governments and US.

James Deakin has joined as Head of Service Design. His appointment is part of our ongoing investment into our advisory services. James will play an instrumental role establishing an international design brand for NTT DATA UK. James joins us from Fjord where he helped some of the world's biggest brands transform through design and innovation. His work has made a meaningful impact in a wide range of industries. He has led transformative projects in industries as diverse as clothing retail, telecommunications, healthcare, financial services and media.

On the new appointments, NTT DATA UK CEO Simon Williams said, “John, Mark and James will play a pivotal role in our growth plans, and are an important part of our continued investment in the UK. Their respective expertise will be invaluable as we move forward, and I am looking forward to the impact they will have upon our success at NTT DATA UK.”
